Lemon verbena - Lippia citriodora
Belonging to the Verbenaceae family, lemon verbena is a perennial plant cultivated for its leaves with their beguiling perfume. Originating from South America, it can reach 3 m in height in its country of origin but does not exceed 80 cm in France because it cannot stand the frost.
Traditions:Lemon verbena has an important place in the herb trade because infusions of its leaves stimulate the digestion and encourage relaxation. It also flavours many culinary preparations.
